Savannah TwitPicnic

Calling all social media geeks!

As if there weren't enough networking groups already, we've decided to morph yet another social media service into a reason to schmooze. Because, really, is there such a thing as too much schmoozing, #noway? Brought to you by your geeky compadres at SavTweetup and cSpot, TwitPicnic is the latest excuse for Savannahians to eat, drink and be geeky.

As the name implies, we're going to have a picnic. A TwitPicnic. Based on the most popular photo service for Twitter, TwitPicnic is a family-friendly event and (weather permitting) a reason to enjoy the great outdoors, talk shop (or not) and have a picnic in the park. And, oh yea, we'll be taking lots of TwitPics and posting them on Twitter. (Isn't that the whole point?) Don't forget to post yours too using #twitpicnic. So come join us at noon, May 7 in Forsyth Park. We'll be holding court on the northeast side of the park, about 150 paces northeast from the fountain.

P.S. We’ll provide the cups and cutlery. There is also a rumor of lemonade and sweet tea.

What should I bring to this Picnic?
